Hi, Kyle! I never really thought about washing a tent. So much for neatness on my end. I love the information provided and how it was written. Very concise and straight to the point. I’m looking forward to reading more of your reviews.
Thank You Bel!
Oh golly, I do everything wrong wrong wrong! I store my tent in its bag and I stuff it, never roll it. I do store it dry but only occasionally wash. I don’t use a separate footprint. I noticed some bird doo doo from last season and dried bugs inside so I just washed/dried my tent in my home equipment (fly and inner tent separately but carefully loaded in cold water with NO detergent whatsoever) and afterward checked for damage. NONE. Seams are all tight. No loose threads. Zippers are clean and work easily. Tie outs are all secure. The tent has seen at least 20 seasons. What am I doing wrong? I don’t understand why my tent isn’t just falling apart into tattered strips of cloth? I need help! 🙂 🙂
